  • Introduction
    • Most common malignant tumor of the parotids gland.
    • Primary treatment is surgical excision, with the most common side effect being damage to the facial nerve, resulting in facial nerve palsy
    • Varying degrees of differentiation and growth, the more squamous, the worse the prognosis.
    • Local invasion is limited, therefore you usually do not see facial nerve involvement. Metastasis is also limited to local lymph nodes.
