A 33-year-old female with no significant medical history presents to the emergency department complaining of shortness of breath and palpitations. The patient was in her usual state of health until 30 minutes ago when she bent over to lift her son and she suddenly felt like “my heart began to beat out of my chest.” She denies losing consciousness or any prior episodes of palpitations or syncope. She takes a daily multivitamin and oral contraceptive pill. On presentation to the ED her temperature is 98.6°F (37°C), blood pressure is 124/86 mmHg, pulse is 160/min, and respirations are 16/min. Physical exam is unremarkable. Her EKG is shown in Figure A. Carotid sinus massage and Valsalva maneuvers are attempted with no improvement in symptoms. What is the next best step in management?
